You’ll be amazed at how clogged the system gets with dust, debris, and grease – and not just on the filters! Filters within the main unit should be cleaned to manufacturers’ recommendations (often every 3 or 6 months depending on the area).

What’s involved in MVHR System Service?
Mechanical ventilation systems must undergo planned maintenance to ensure all components are at peak efficiency. A poorly maintained system will have to work harder, which will negatively impact its energy efficiency thereby undermining one of the most important reasons for having the system installed in the first place.
In general, we recommend servicing MVHR Systems annually to make sure everything is clean and working as it should. As part of your annual service, our service technician will:
- Check the motors, heat exchanger, condensation drain, and ducting connections.
- Undertake a full motor, heat exchanger, and internal body clean and sanitisation
- Install replacement Filters (Basic Barrier – upgrades available)
- Unblocking condensate drains that could cause damage to the unit or ceilings etc if the water was to overflow from the drain. It would also be an ideal area for bacteria to develop.
