You’ll be amazed at how clogged the system gets with dust, debris, and grease – and not just on the filters! By completing an annual service on your ventilation system, you will avoid any buildup on the unit (particularly the motors) and this will increase the longevity of the unit and keep the unit running efficiently. We use high quality F7 pollen-grade filters in our units which means that these only need to be replaced once a year during your annual service.

What to Expect
Mechanical ventilation systems must undergo planned maintenance to ensure all components are at peak efficiency. A poorly maintained system will have to work harder, which will negatively impact its energy efficiency thereby undermining one of the most important reasons for having the system installed in the first place.
A buildup of dirt and debris on the motors of a MVHR unit will cause them to become off balance, and will ultimately lead to a burnout of the motors much quicker than if the unit were serviced annually.
In general, we recommend servicing MVHR Systems annually to make sure everything is clean and working as it should. As part of your annual service, our service technician will:
- Check the motors, heat exchanger, condensation drain, and ducting connections.
- Undertake a full motor, heat exchanger, and internal body clean and sanitisation.
- Install high-grade replacement filters (F7 pollen-grade.)
- Unblock condensate drains that could cause damage to the unit or ceilings etc. if the water was to overflow from the drain. It would also be an ideal area for bacteria to develop.
- Provide you with a service reports if necessary.
